Prof. Tao Zhang, Ph. D., Ph. D. supervisor, Group leader of Interface-Functional Polymer Materials (iFPM).

Prof. Tao Zhang has studied and worked in Sichuan University, Dresden University of Technology, Cavendish Laboratory of Cambridge University, and Dresden Advanced Electronic Devices Research Center (cfaed) . He is currently a professor at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Egneering, CAS, the head of the interface functional polymer materials team, and the overseas high-level talent of CAS and Zhejiang Province. Prof. Tao Zhang commit to the design and synthesis of new materials of two-dimensional conjugated polymers and the basic research on the application of marine functional materials. He has published more than 60 papers in Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., ACS Macro Lett., etc., of which were cited more than 4000 times. He has won the third prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Federation of Light Industry, SASTIP of the Dresden University of Technology , cfaed INSPIRE grant,leading talent of Ningbo and other awards. He leads several key projects such as the Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Fund for Distinguished Young Scientists, Ningbo "3315" Innovation Team, etc. At the same time, Tao Zhang also serves as a youth editorial board of Chin. Chem. Lett. (Elsevier Publishing Group, IF 8.46) and a guest editor of Polymers (MPDI Publishing Group, IF 4.91).


Research Interests

Controllable polymerization of surface and interface; Two-dimensional polymer (including COF and MOF); polymer brush; porous polymer film; marine functional polymer material.
